One of the most anticipated openings of the year for Frisco and Summit County, the music scene couldn’t be contained in just one day, but rather two sold out shows for the 10 Mile Music Hall to celebrate its grand opening. The 10 Mile Music Hall sits just over 700 people, creating an intimate venue in the heart of Summit County.
The 10 Mile Music Hall dream came from Todd Altschuler and co-owner Keegan Casey. Altschuler and Casey, previously managed the Barkley Ballroom, a popular bar in Frisco to catch live music. Shortly after closing the Barkley Ballroom, the custom-made indoor music venue took flight just in time for the winter season.
10 Mile Music Hall A Dream Come True
The building is roughly 8,000 square feet of an industrial meets mountain vibe, featuring vaulted ceilings reaching up 33 feet. The custom music venue features a massive dance floor on the ground level as a focal point and a stage with a wrap-around balcony on the upper floor. Creating the perfect atmosphere to have two levels close to the stage for everyone to enjoy.
A two garage-style, side-by-side sliding doors, connects to a larger outdoor deck to open up over the summers. A 25-foot bar is accompanied by a small upstairs bar to ensure the drinks keep flowing. To help make the most of the moment, 10 Mile Music Hall enlisted the help of a smart phone app. Keeping it simple, the app enables patrons to order their drinks on their phones and receive a text when they’re ready to avoid long lines.
The lighting and sound systems inside are comparable to what someone might find at much larger venues. Featuring plenty of bathrooms, water-bottle filling stations and smart-phone charging stations! 10 Mile Music Hall will play host to private events, weddings, family concerts and more.
Additionally, 10 Mile Music Hall has been working with Odell Brewing Co., and craft house beer specifically for Summit County’s newest music venue. The brew “10 Mile Mosaic” is a single-hop, citrus IPA that will pair quite nicely with live performances!
