The USA Pro Challenge kicks off tomorrow! Don’t miss the event of the summer, follow the schedule below to make the most of your race experience!

Tuesday, August 18: Stage 2 Finish in Arapahoe Basin

The week’s activities in Arapahoe Basin will kick off with a free concert at the Base Area Village on Monday, August 17th at 5:30 PM!  Brother’s Keeper will perform outdoors and will feature John Popper of Blues Traveler with special guest The Samples!  A second free show will take place the following night, Tuesday, August 18th at 5:30 PM.  Head down to the Base Area Village again to see the Freddy Jones Band with special guest Bonnie & the Clydes. Both shows run until roughly 10:00 PM! Come hungry to the race, food tents will be set up in the Festival Village.  Enjoy barbeque, pizza, steamed dumplings and more! Snacks, sodas and beer will also be available for purchase in the area.

Wednesday, August 19: Stage 3 Start at Copper

The race to Aspen will kick off at 11:15 AM and is viewable from the Center Village and Burning Stones Plaza in Copper. The lively festival will host carnival rides, family activities, local vendors and free chairlift rides! Stick around the Burning Stones Plaza to watch the race finish while participating in the celebrations. Live outdoor performances will follow, from Industrial Rhythm, Zach Heckenduorf and Matt Mahern.

Thursday, August 20: Stage 4 Finish in Breckenridge

Outdoor activities will be available to the public in the hours leading up to the Stage 4 finish! Join yoga classes in the yard at the Riverwalk Center, watch the 2 PM Strider Cup, Wish for Wheels parade, and stick around for live bluegrass by Trout Steak Revival at 2 PM.

The Breckenridge International Festival of Arts compliments the race, while providing additional outdoor activities throughout the day. Friday, August 21: Stage 5 Time Trial in Breckenridge

Don’t miss the last race day in Summit, as both the men’s and women’s time trials begin in the late morning. If you did not have a chance to check out the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts events, make sure to stop by today! The women’s award ceremony will take place at noon and the men’s awards will begin at 4 PM. A free concert at the Riverwalk Center features Los Lobos and begins at 7:30 PM.

“With two stages this year (in Breckenridge) and BreckCreate’s International Festival of Arts running during the race, fans will really reap the rewards,” said Rachel Zerowin, the Public Relations Manager at the Breckenridge Tourism Office.
