			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you are thinking of buying a second home in the next five years, this is your best opportunity.  After softening during the housing bust, the vacation home market is coming back to life.</p>
<p>Record low mortgage rates, bargain prices and dwindling home inventories are bringing once untouchable markets within reach for the first time in a decade.  These factors are &#8220;creating a sense of urgency&#8221; says Pam O&#8217;Connor, President of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, a broker network.  &#8220;People feel like they might miss this window.&#8221;</p>
<p>The bottom for vacation home prices will be clear only in retrospect, but there are signs it is forming, says Mark Zandi, cheif economist at Moody&#8217;s Analytics.  &#8220;From a long term investment horizon, vacation homes will do very well&#8221;. Mr. Zandi says, citing low interest rates and expected price appreciation in many markets.</p>

The seven counties are: Summit, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Grand, Jackson,<br />
Park and Eagle.</p>
<p>Benjamin Honigman, M.D., professor of emergency medicine and director of the Altitude Medicine Clinic thinks the secret to a long healthy lifestyle has to do with oxygen deprivation or hypoxia. &#8220;Lower oxygen levels turn on certain genes and we think those genes may change the way heart muscles function. They may also produce new blood vessels that create new highways for blood flow into the heart&#8221; Dr. Honigman says.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Nearly six years after home prices started falling, U.S. housing markets appear to be nearing a new phase, hitting bottom. This is not by any means a full fledged recovery, however the next chapter in one of the longest downturns in U.S. economic history.</p>
<p>Home builders cut back heavily in the last four years and began construction on just 434,000 single family homes last year, the lowest level on record. Estimates from research firm Zelman &amp; Associates estimate builders will start construction on 540,000 homes this year, a 24 % increase. Sales of previously owned homes meanwhile are up 32 % from their low point of mid-2010.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The new and improved Dew Tour is making it&#8217;s 5th annual appearance in a row December 13 -16, 2012.  The 2012 schedule includes an August stop in Ocean City, MD. an October leg in San Francisco and finally in Breckenridge in December.  Breckenridge Marketing Director, Kieran Cain said &#8220;We are proud to be able to showcase our mountain and our town on international television at the beginning of the ski season each year with the Dew Tour.</p>
<p>As part of the bid to get the tour back in Breckenridge, the town agreed to pay $ 97,000 in lodging expenses for tour staff and competitors.  Town officials said the Dew Tour&#8217;s huge promotional value for Breckenridge make it worth the investment.  The collaboration between Breckenridge Ski Area, the Town of Breckenridge, lodging companies and other town organizations is a key to the success in returning this signature event to the Town of Breckenridge.</p>

<p>The same meeting will hear out a development proposal for 12 long term rental units located in 3 seperate buildings on West Main Street. It is the first new development at that end of Main Street in roughly 2 years.</p>
