Beaver Run Reopens After 3.5 Million In Improvements
BRECKENRIDGE After more than 20 years of anchoring Breckenridge, Beaver Run Resort underwent a $3.5 million renovation this year. Beaver Run, located slopeside at Breckenridge Ski Resorts Peak 9, will show off the new Coppertop Café and Bar Friday.
Coppertop has tripled in size, expanding its deck to 5,000 square feet, with an extra floor added. The café has been around since 1979, but has been closed for the last year and a half. This season, the Swing Crew will play from 3-7 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, along with bar and pizza specials.
We wanted to capture the great après ski crowd, said Kristy Herrel, manager of Coppertop. Now you cant really ski by without hearing or seeing us anymore; its just a great après ski bar.
Tiffanys will be more of a high-end lounge, according to Bruce Horii, Premier Resorts director of sales and marketing.
The resort also added a new 2,700 square-foot Imperial ballroom, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a slopeside balcony. It is expected to attract more wedding, conference and reception business, which makes up 45 percent of the resorts annual revenue.
A new lobby lounge features contemporary décor and a sophisticated martini and cordial selection, as well as a flat screen television and leather pocket championship billiard tables.
The deli also has been expanded into a 2,300 square-foot Skywalk Market. Another improvement is the addition of two elevators. Beaver Run also has a new full service spa called The Spa at Beaver Run, featuring six treatment rooms and seaweed and mud wraps, watsu, Bindi herbal body treatments and oxygen therapy.
Beaver Run Resort is managed by Premier Resorts, which is headquartered in Park City, Utah and has an inventory of more than 7,000 rooms in resort areas throughout the United States and Mexico.
