Allan Johnson GRI, Broker Associate
Allan was born and raised in Litchfield, Minnesota, graduated from Litchfield High School in 1963 and from the University of Minnesota in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. After graduation, he received a Regular Army commission as a 2d Lieutenant in the Field Artillery and completed both Ranger and Airborne schools before being assigned to Bamberg, West Germany. He received a promotion to Captain after about 16 months and was reassigned to the 173d Airborne Brigade in Bong Son, Vietnam. His "career" in the military ended in 1974 after another tour in Germany (Heidelberg this time). He then began his real estate career in St. Cloud, Minnesota and remained there until his departure for Summit County in 1982. He came to Beaver Run as the Managing Broker in January, 1990 after working with Keystone Resort Real Estate Company. He purchased the office in January, 2001. After owning the company for 7 years, Allan decided to sell the business to Dennis Clauer. Although no longer the owner, Allan remains at Real Estate of the Summit as a Broker. He has one daughter, Karin, who is twenty-eight years old. She graduated from the law school at Georgetown University in 2007 and is working with the law firm of Sheppard Mullin in Washington D.C. His wife Storm, who grew up on the North Shore of Chicago, is a psychotherapist. His Standard Poodle, Max, and cats, Bonita & Samantha, complete the family.
