I am happy to provide you a recommendation of Real Estate of the Summit as a brokerage. We have known the brokers at Real Estate of the Summit for a number of years and they have been very helpful in our real estate transactions in Breckenridge. Over the years we have bought and sold a number of homes and I would place realtors into three general categories. Category one are people that get into the industry and do not commit the time or effort to become truly knowledgeable and value added. They will show you every property on the market even if it doesn’t meet your needs. They will also list anything at a price to move not to maximize value to the seller. The second are people who float in and out of the real estate industry with hot and cold markets. The third category are real professionals who know the market, get to know what the buyer/seller wants and makes efficient use of time and communication. I have met many realtors but only a few that would fall into the third category, the brokers at Real Estate of the Summit are definitely those in the third category. Real Estate of the Summit knows the market and where properties should trade. She is efficient with your time but more than willing to take whatever time necessary to get a property bought or sold. I have two quick examples of Real Estate of the Summit’s professionalism. We wanted to “move up” from our current Breckenridge home in Park Forest, but be in the same general area. After looking at what was on the market and not really finding what we wanted, Real Estate of the Summit suggested we look at building a new home. I was skeptical as to finding lots and the actual cost to build, but after getting builders recommendations from Real Estate of the Summit we decided to buy a lot in Shock Hill and build. Buying a lot meant considerably less commission for Real Estate of the Summit than buying a home, but they were fully supportive of making sure we found what we wanted. In selling our Park Forest house, we had done a number of upgrades and I was concerned about our ability to get the full value out. Real Estate of the Summit suggested a listing price that reflected the value and were confident of finding the right buyer that would also see the value. Sure enough our home sold at a value that reflected the improvements we had made in line with Real Estate of the Summit’s suggestions. If you are looking for someone to really represent your interests, someone who really knows the market and will due the utmost to make you a satisfied buyer or seller, I would have no hesitation in hiring Real Estate of the Summit.
